Hello. My name is Jason Goodman. I was born in Athens, Georgia and raised in Kennesaw. After graduating from Harrison High School in 1995, I attended the University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University, and Jacksonville State University. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Science Education, a Masters Degree, and a Specialists Degree (both in Educational Leadership). My teaching career began in Paulding County in 2001 and I have been at North since 2009.
I am certified in gifted education, teacher leadership, and approved to teach AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C Mechanics by the College Board. Occasionally, I work as an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University helping train new physics teachers in pedagogy and content knowledge. I present regularly at GSTA, NSTA, and teach workshops to other physics teachers in the metro area.
Many years ago in March of 2000, I married my wonderful wife Jennifer who works in Roswell as a dental hygienist. We have two awesome kids- Andrew (17) and Emily (13). I enjoy the Braves, cheering on the Dawgs, watching my kids play lacrosse, and cooking BBQ on my Big Green Egg!
